Sophia Yushchenko is a Consultant at the Centre for a European Future. Sophia graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi with a focus on Legal Studies, Political Science, and Urbanization. Her capstone thesis explored the “Legal Analysis of abductions and illegal adoptions of Ukrainian children after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.” Sophia received the Schwarzman Scholarship to study Global Affairs in Tsinghua University but chose to defer and come back to Kyiv to work and volunteer.

Previously, she served as a ‘Moonshot Apprentice’ under the UAE Prime Minister’s office, fostering innovative ideas for soft power promotion. She also gained business development experience with start-ups in the energy management and design technology sectors in the Bay Area.
